题目：Hyperbolic graphs and a discrete potential theory on compact doubling metric space

摘要: The notion of hyperbolic graphs was introduced by Gromov in 1987 for developing geometric group theory. Recently, hyperbolic graphs arising from partitions, fllings and iterations have gained rich applications in analysis on metric spaces and fractals. In this talk, I will present a general framework for approximating compact metric spaces with hyperbolic graphs. To develop a discrete potential theory on compact doubling metric spaces, I will introduce a class of birth-death type random walks on hyperbolic graphs, and analyse the quadratic forms of induced energy on their boundaries. This is based on some joint work with Ka-Sing Lau (CUHK), Xiang-Yang Wang (SYSU) and Ting-Kam Leonard Wong (Toronto).
